Our Weather

Summers here are sunny, warm and dry with temperatures averaging in the 80's and 90's. You can enjoy boating, hiking and camping, or just putting your feet up and relaxing on a long summer's night. Our Lake

Moses Lake is the second largest natural body of fresh water in Washington State. The lake has over 120 miles of shoreline and covers 6,500 acres. In addition, it connects to Potholes Reservoir further south which has over 23,000 acres of surface water. These two outstanding lakes provide unlimited opportunity for outdoor recreation. Located in the path of the Pacific flyway, the area is a major attraction for waterfowl. Our lakes and streams, along with the nearby Columbia River, are a fisherman's paradise-- and of course the lakes provide endless hours of watersport fun!

Our Industry

Moses Lake is in the heart of the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project and is surrounded by farmland. We enjoy a friendly development environment, low power costs, abundance of land, reasonable labor costs, and a high quality of life. The last 10 years have seen a boom in industry from agriculture to high tech. Grant County International Airport provides daily flights to Seattle & Spokane. With one of the longest runways in the U.S., it is used for heavy jet testing and training by Boeing, Japan Airlines, the U. S. military and over 300 carriers worldwide. The local Public Utility District is building the largest fiber-to-home project in the world, providing homes & businesses with high speed access to choices of digital television, internet and broadband services.

The Port of Moses Lake operates Grant County International Airport (a former SAC airforce base) and boasts a state of the art FAA control tower and a new passenger terminal with services provided by Horizon Air. The airport has one of the longest runways in the U.S. and is used for heavy jet testing and training by Boeing, Japan Airlines, the U.S. Military, and over 300 carriers worldwide. The Port of Moses Lake has substantial acreage, a foreign trade zone and numerous industrial buildings for lease. There are several private industry parks contiguous to the port property.
